Immersive Gaming

  • Provides absolute, drift-free, orientation
  • Allows 360° of freedom in yaw, pitch and roll
  • Has Low latency, refresh rate up to 100 fps
  • Eliminate line of sight limitations

Computer games become more immersive when gamers shed the confines of their game controllers, keyboards or mice. Imagine playing a first person shooter game from the first person’s perspective. The shooter controls the computer game wirelessly from a weapon A video projector mounted on the weapon displays the virtual world in the direction the weapon is pointing. The gamer is thus totally immersed in the virtual reality of the game.

Sensors on the weapon allow FreeMotion algorithms to track the orientation of the weapon so that its movement in the real world is transferred to the virtual world. Because FreeMotion technology uses ambient magnetic field as a fixed reference, it does not suffer from drift errors common in gyro based motion detection systems. The algorithm has very low latency so that it can support even the highest performing game platforms.
