Sensor Platforms, Inc. Hires Sales and Marketing Manager
 
Edward M. Zdankiewicz joins the Sensor Platforms team
 
SANTA ROSA, CA, January 10, 2005 – Sensor Platforms, Inc., a Santa Rosa-based sensor device company, today announced that Edward M. Zdankiewicz has joined the Company as Sales and Marketing Manager. Mr. Zdankiewicz brings over twenty years of broad business experience in international market and product development, with more than fifteen years in the sensors, semiconductors and electronics industries.
 
"We are thrilled to have Ed Zdankiewicz join the Sensor Platforms team." stated George Hsu, President and Chief Executive Officer of Sensor Platforms. "With his experience in the sensors and electronics industries, particularly micro-machined sensors, he will provide strong sales and marketing leadership for the Company."
 
Mr. Zdankiewicz, 50, has held senior and executive management positions in engineering, sales, marketing and applications. In 1998, Zdankiewicz was co-founder and General Manager of MicroChemical Systems Inc., a Motorola spin-out and European-based manufacturer of MEMS-based chemical sensors and microsystems. He spent 12 years at Keithley Instruments developing products for semiconductor device testing, later co-founding and operating a business unit selling toxic gas detection systems to semiconductor foundries. Prior to joining Keithley in 1986, he developed regenerative environmental control and life support systems for air revitalization, water reclamation and power generation for NASA and the U.S. aerospace and defense industries.
 
Mr. Zdankiewicz received his B.S. degree in Engineering from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, and his M.S. in Engineering from the University of Toledo, with post-graduate course work in microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) and semiconductor devices. He has authored and co-authored over thirty articles, conference papers and application notes in micro-machined sensors.
 
Sensor Platforms, founded in 2004, enables sensor applications, providing technologies that both reduce the cost and time of sensor application development and improve sensor performance. Primary customers include sensor manufacturers, original equipment manufacturers and systems integrators that demand improved sensor performance for their customers.
